William Dean Glasgow, 65, of Indianola, died Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at his residence in Indianola. Visitation for family and friends will be from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Peterson Funeral Home in Indianola, Iowa. Bill was born in Des Moines, Iowa to Rex and Louise (Johnson) Glasgow on October 18, 1950. Bill grew up in Indianola, Iowa ,graduating from Indianola High School in 1968.

He enlisted in the United States Army in 1969 serving our Country during the Vietnam War. Upon Honorable discharge from the Army he returned to Indianola, working as a lineman and mechanic for Chicago Northwestern and Wilson Railways.

Bill had a lifelong love for the outdoors, taking his boat to fish or shore fishing the lakes and ponds around the area.

On August 28, 1980, the greatest gift of his life was born, son Nathaneal William. They enjoyed many things together, especially their love of the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Denver Broncos.

Bill is survived by his son, Nate (Jamie) Glasgow of Winterset, Iowa; granddaughter, Presley Louise; brother Frank (Ellen Glasgow of Indianola; sister, Carol (David) Dale of Indianola and other siblings, Charlotte, Carla, and Joseph.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louise and Allen Spence, Rex Glasgow and infant sister, Cheryl Ann Glasgow.
