Comments:

A lot has happened to myself and I am sure all of us since 1968. I have had a couple of marriages, 3 children, 1 a graduate of Simpson College, teaching kindergarten in Indianola, another a graduate of Iowa State University, a fitness instructor/personal trainer, and the blessed mistake, a junior at University of Iowa. I have two daughters married with three children each, giving me six grandchildren. They all live in Indianola and keep all of us very busy.

Just two years ago, when a job change was forced on me, I took the position at the Indianola Country Club as their food service director and events coordinator. I absolutely love what I do. Never work the same hours and never have a boring day. I love to play golf, but since I spend quite a bit of time there, usually don't want to spend time to play 9 or even 18 holes. Maybe that will change. I hope to retire in about five years.

My husband Fritz has been retired since 1999. I make him work a part time job just to make sure he showers on an occasional basis.

I have done some minor acting in the local community theater. I played Ousier in Steel Magnolias and I believe that was typecasting, and also played a juror in Twelve Angry Women. I got to be an extremely mean person in that, which was fun. I think I have put that all behind me, my memory doesn't let me remember all of those lines and I sure foul up other cast members. It all takes me back to the day of Phyllis Diller takes in high school. My memory was a lot better then.

I love to travel, short trips, mostly. In the last couple of years have been to San Francisco, New Orleans, Florida three times, and short shopping trips. I just love finding the best deal.

We still live in Indianola not too far from where I grew up, but it is still a great town to raise a family. All of my grandchildren are either attending the Indianola schools or will be.

I look forward to seeing everyone at the reunion this summer. I am sure that deep down not too many of us have changed. It will be great fun.

It was so great to see everyone last weekend. I have not recovered, this partying late, playing golf, and trying to look at least 40 years younger made me real tired. I guess we will all have our challenges for 2013. Hope all of us make it.

School Story:

I will have to take some time to think on this, I may update this category later.
